SenseTime's next-generation Artificial Intelligence Data Center in the Lingang New Area of Shanghai commenced operation on January 24, 2022. SenseTime says the AIDC has 3.74 exaFLOPS of designed computing capacity and brings the company's total computing capacity to more than 4.91 exaFLOPS, supporting SenseCore and large-scale AI model production. Lin-gang's official site reports a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan, construction that began in July 2020, and expected large-scale AI R&D and industrialization support for the Yangtze River Delta. Lin-gang also reports green and low-carbon technologies with power consumption about 10 percent below China's average data center level, saving about 45 million kWh per year. ADCI keeps public facility capacity unknown because these sources report compute performance and efficiency, not facility megawatts.
